Before the doors opened, Steve and Graham prepared the deer horns for the Abbots Bromley Horn Dance
Audience and performers enjoyed each others' company while waiting for stragglers to arrive
Graham Baldwin, Squire of the Vancouver Morris Men, welcomed everyone and explained the history of Cotswold dances and his own 40-year connection to Morris traditions
...and then the Morris Men leapt into action!
Much leaping ensued. Was this Jenny Lind or Shepherd's hey?
Mandatory waving of hankies while wearing the white Cotswold kit
A mischievous dark horse invaded the proceedings and Oliver Schneider stepped in to fend it off
Man down! Fortunately, a maiden was summoned to revive him
It would not be Morris dancing without the ritual clashing of sticks
David Sanguinetti led the 3-man team in Jockie to the Fair
Konstantin Olchanski took advantage of the brief break in the otherwise non-stop dancing
Steve Cleary described the history of Welsh Border dances and his own personal connection of over 30 years to Morris culture
Audience participation was welcomed for the Dilwyn dance
Steve Crowley described how he collected the deer horns over a period of years, specifically to be used in the darkly mysterious Abbots Bromley Horn Dance
The Abbots Bromley Horn Dance involved 6 matching sets of antlers designed to interlock without maiming the dancers, now wearing their traditional rag coats
St. George and the King of Egypt's daughter prepare for the St. George Mummer's Play
Secret Lantern Society's owner dragon (created by karen Tang 12 years ago) oversaw the enacting the Mummer's Play, a crazed tale involving multiple characters and props too numerous to document. Needless to say, mayhem ensued!
More audience participation for Up the Middle and Down the Sides, one of the Molly dances
